About Us

The New Mexico Foundation for Civic Excellence promotes civic action and advocacy on matters related to the environment, economic development, health and safety of New Mexicans through voter and public education, research, litigation, legislation and regulatory work. 

The Foundation focuses its efforts on ensuring good governance by local, state and federal elected officials, state departments, regulatory agencies, and any other groups that can control outcomes for New Mexicans.  We are laser focused on ensuring we have a safe and healthy environment based on renewable energy, rooting out corruption, violations of state law,  lifting up our communities and especially for people of color and our indigenous neighbors to whom we owe so much.  

We also focus on reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ protections, the unhoused, the criminal justice system and any other issue that gets in the way of any New Mexican achieving their full potential. 

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) under IRS guidelines as a domestic not for profit corporation in the state of New Mexico.
